The
Williams College IELTS Course is an exam preparation
programme raising awareness of and providing practice
in the International English Language Test System exam
(IELTS). Students study in small groups where they are
guided towards improved test taking strategies. Test
features are practiced regularly throughout the course.
IELTS examination scores are recognised
by British and international universities and colleges
as a standard for entry onto English medium courses.
Students should already be at least Upper-Intermediate level
to start on this course. The exam has four components
(Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking). All candidates
take the same Listening and Speaking exams, but have
a choice of Writing and Reading papers.
The Academic Reading and Writing papers are
for those who wish to pursue a degree course at an educational
institute. Alternatively, candidates may select the
General Training Reading and Writing modules which are
aimed at students going to an English speaking country
for the purposes of work experience, vocational training
or to take a non-degree level course. The course at
Williams College concentrates mainly on prepairing for
the Academic papers. |
