News: Fashion – Student Showcase, 23-27 May
Students in the final semester of our fashion course will be exhibiting their creativity this month.
At Williams College all final semester Fashion students gain the opportunity to showcase their designs and garments. The Student Showcase is designed to encourage fashion students' experimentation and exploration.
Students research from a list of fashion trends and select a theme on which to base their final work. Drawing on all the theory and practice they have learnt during the previous semesters at college they produce drawings, mood boards and patterns which lead to the finished garments.
The students' final work is then professionally photographed, videoed and displayed in the college.
The next Student Showcase will be held from the 23rd to the 27th of May 2011. Students' fashion work on display will draw on the themes of Minimalism, Colour-Blocking, Futurism and Cinematic styles. All are welcome to attend.
