News: Mixing with the World’s Best in Business at the 13th World Business Dialogue Conference

Two Williams College Students who are studying Business Management with Williams via the University of Sunderland have astounded all of us with their good news. They have been selected to participate in a world student conference to be held in Germany where top CEOs from companies like Vodaphone,and the Metro Group will speak as well as economists and world recognised professors. These prestigious professionals will be speaking to this select group of 300 students from all over the world. The students will enter into discussion about important issues like modern day economics, the financial crisis and the environment to name a few.

Hernan R Diaz Laserna and Andres Barrera Pulido were selected from an entrance pool group of 1400 students including Harvard and Princeton applications. Not only were they invited but they are over the moon that all their travel and expenses will be paid for while they are there. Anders had this to say about the conference, “I am excited about meeting and talking to some of the most important professionals in the world. Also it will great to keep in touch with students we meet and make good contacts for the future.”

There will be a careers fair where there will be some opportunities to work for prestigious firms. Andres comments, “It’s an honour being invited with a special invitation to meet some great people and get linked to huge companies.”

Suray Vadali, Director of the Business School at Williams had this to say, “We are very proud of these students and wish them well in this exciting endeavour!”
