General English Classes
Our General English classes are designed to help improve your English skills for everyday communication. You will practise speaking, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation and grammar in a friendly and supportive environment.
The average size of General English classes at Williams College is eight. This means you will receive the attention from your teacher you need to quickly make progress. Every Friday you will do a Progress Test to check that you have understood everything you learnt during the week.
We provide courses at levels from pre-intermediate to advanced.
Courses start every Monday.
Class Times:
Courses run five days a week Monday to Friday.
Morning: 8.50 – 12.00 (including a 10 minute break)
Afternoon: 12.30 – 3.40 (including a 10 minute break)
Evening: 3.45 – 6.30 (including a 10 minute break)
Entry requirements:
Applicants must meet B1 requirements under the CEFR framework.[read more]
Minimum age 18 years at the time of registration.
Before starting your course you will be tested to ensure that you are placed in the correct class and you will need to buy a copy of your course book (approximately £25 but you may be able to buy them second-hand for £15). The teacher will follow a syllabus for your level but will also use other materials to supplement the course book.
