Application Process

Applications will differ according to which country you apply from. Please select from the options below.

International Applicants

The following information is for students making their applications from countries outside the United Kingdom.

Staff at Williams College will not advise you about visa issues. It is your responsibility to ensure you know the rules and regulations of the UK Border Agency and the laws of the UK. It is advisable to use the services of a reputable education agent in your country. Williams College works with agents around the world; please contact us for further information.

Before you apply to join Williams please check that you meet the academic and English language eligibility criteria for your chosen course. If you are unsure, please contact the College for more information.

Stage 1 - Application

Stage 2 - Consultation
You will be contacted by one of our admissions team who will let you know whether you are eligible to enrol on your chosen course.

At this stage you will be asked to provide the following documents:
• Copy of your passport
• Copies of all relevant qualifications
• Proof of work experience (if applicable)

If you meet the eligibility criteria and all the documents are complete, your application will be progressed to the next stage.

Stage 3 - Admission Interview
International applicants will be scheduled to sit an admissions interview; this will be conducted via Skype. Applicants should ensure they access to a computer with a camera for this interview.

You will then be issued a Conditional Offer Letter which outlines the course you have applied for and fees due.

Stage 4 - Payment of Fees
In order for your admission to be confirmed you must pay the relevant fees and registration. For methods of payments please see the link Fees & Payments in the menu to the left.

Stage 5 – Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS)
You will be asked to provide the following documents so that a CAS can be issued:
• Applicant Declaration Form
• Up-to-date contact details

Once all paperwork is verified and your eligibility is confirmed, you will be sent the CAS / Unconditional Offer Letter and Receipt for Fees Paid. The CAS will be required for your visa application.

Stage 6 - Arrival at Williams College
Bring the following as soon as possible and at least 2 working days before you course starts:
• CAS / Unconditional Offer Letter
• One passport sized photograph
• Your original passport
• Current UK address


Local Applicants

If you are transferring from another college in the UK, you will need to provide:
• Attendance Record from the previous College
• Progression Record from the awarding body

Stage 3 – Payment of Fees

UK Applicants

The following information is only for UK citizens and permanent residents applying for Higher National Diplomas under the Student Loans scheme.

Before you apply to join Williams please check that you meet the academic eligibility criteria for your chosen course.

Stage 2 - Consultation
You will be contacted by one of our admissions team who will let you know whether you are eligible to enrol on your chosen course.

At this stage you will be asked to provide the following documents:
• Photographic ID
• Copies of all relevant qualifications
• Proof of work experience (if applicable)

If you meet the eligibility criteria and all the documents are complete you will then pay the upfront fee of £125

Stage 3 – Apply for Student Loans
Eligible students will be able to make an application for Student Loans.

Stage 4 – Enrol
If you are deemed eligible for Student Loans, you will receive an acceptance letter from the Student Loans Company. You will need to bring this to the College when you enrol.
